There are various mediums from which we consumer receive messages; A movie is one of the tools of the advertising strategy.  Product placement in movies is ubiquitous these days; it is the way to attract viewers so that shopping lovers will see it and buy it.

Movies not only make products noticeable but make brands more famous than before.

Let’s talk about some of the movies which have placed the high fashion brands.

Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2

Sex and the city is the exploration of social life—from sex to relationships, of four girl pals who gain individual experiences through their perspectives. The whole series of sex and the city is filled with brands and only brands. From Calvin Klein to Dior, Prada to Chanel you will get to see the placement of various high-fashion brands in the movie. Different other brands placed in the series are, Manolo Blahnik, Dolce& Gabbana, Versace, Ralph Lauren, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Fendi, and Birkin.

The Devil Wears Prada

Fashion brands, clothes, accessories, shoes and drinks, The devil wears Prada has all of it. This comedy/drama movie has placed fashion brand products, fashion shows and name of the designers in the movie like Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, Sephora, Prada fragrance, Prada bag, Nine West, Narciso Rodriguez, Nancy Gonzalez, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Jimmy Choo, Georges Chakra dress& fashion show, Dolce & Gabbana in the movie.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

In a scene, Rebecca (Isla Fisher) take her boss Luke shopping, and they start going off in a so-called “Prada-talk.” Rebecca turns to Luke and says, “You speak Prada, it was a smart choice of the writer because it emphasized the importance and high status that Prada has as a brand. Confessions of a Shopaholic is a story of a Shopaholic, Rebecca Bloomwood who has an addiction to shopping. She has tons of clothes but doesn’t seem the addiction will ever stop. Confessions of a shopaholic have placed brands like Prada, Gucci and Jimmy Choo in the movie.
